Today, the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal began the consideration of the Uzhgorod mayor’s appeal.
Earlier, Bohdan Andriyiv decided to appeal against the court’s decision to take him into custody with the possibility of posting a bond. He did take advantage of this opportunity, the bond amounted to 440 thousand hryvnias. However, the mayor changed his mind about appealing this decision: he withdrew the appeal and did not appear at the court hearing, the Prozak reported. Representatives of the prosecutor’s office did not object. Thus, the status of the mayor remains the same – it is under pre-trial restraint in the form of bond.
Earlier, Uzhgorod City and District Court did not remove the mayor from his office, so Andriyiv continues to be the mayor.
