Andriy Lyubka announced hunger strike in support of Ukrainian political prisoners (STATEMENT)

Writer and translator with a cosmopolitan character, but Transcarpathian roots and Uzhgorod registration, appealed to the community with a rather unexpected statement.

Andriy Lyubka announced… a hunger strike.

Read it below:

"I AM ON HUNGER STRIKE WITH SENTSOV

Today is the seventh day of Oleg Sentsov hunger strike, which he promised to keep "to the end."

As a sign of solidarity with Oleg, I decided not to eat food today. I encourage you to do the same – do not eat anything for a day or several hours, skip lunch or dinner.

It is also good for health, and the money, that you would have spent for restaurant or cooking, can be donated to an NGO advocating the rights of political prisoners, or you can write a letter to one of our prisoners and send it to Russia under the "Let My People Go Ukraine" campaign.

I understand that such individual action will not change the situation significantly, but we can not just watch a person dying behind the bars.

Do not eat food as a sign of solidarity with Oleg Sentsov, write about it on facebook to ensure the maximum publicity.

Let’s make it so that the "end", which Oleg referred to in his statement, is his liberation from the Kremlin captivity, and not his death.

Glory to Ukraine!"
