Uzhgorod residents do not need lawns. Green zones, areas for recreation, front gardens – all that is excessive luxury for residents. At least, so say active developers, who are putting fruits of their business ambitions on every free corner in the city under acquiescence or active support of the city authorities.
So, while confrontation over several large objects in the city continues, they are quietly building up little corners. For example, on Mynaiska street, two booths appeared right in the middle of green areas. One bulky design "in Cubism style" has grown between a pub and a Japanese restaurant, close to the office center.
Another one is on a small "island" at the gas station.
By the way, they say that the former head of the city had unbelievably arrogant and original idea: to build on Mynaiska street, in the "free" area near the 9-storeyed buildings a kind of a "shopping mall". Well, the idea, that for some reason has never been implemented, is interesting, though obviously illegal… Now, "the development" is not so "conceptual" – "only" with booths, but nonetheless – on our lawns.
Consider this post a request for information: how was the land allocated, under which permits was the construction carried out, under which projects? This is the request to the control services.
We also remind that the city government adopted the plan to install more than 70 boothes, some of them in the historic center. By the way, is there any free space left in your yard?..
