On August 18, a retrospective exhibition devoted to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Transcarpathian Artists Union and the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine will be opened in the halls of the Regional Art Museum.
Now the regional organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine consists of more than one hundred artists, representing several generations, different kinds of fine arts and, of course, unique personal views on art and the world. Many fans of their art, intellectuals and government officials of the region will come to congratulate the Union members on the anniversary. Distinguished guests from other regions and countries are expected.
The grand opening will be held at 17.00.
Visitors will be able to view the exhibition untill September 17. Then, according to the chairman of the regional branch of the National Union of Artists Boris Kuzma, there will be a big presentation of contemporary Transcarpathian artists in Kyiv on September 16. Also in October, on the Day of Artist of Ukraine, the Union members plan to present the publication dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Regional Y.Bokshay and A.Erdelyi Prize.
