An electronic system of patient registration will be introduced in Mukachevo

At the extraordinary session of Mukachevo city council, the deputies approved the program of introduction of an electronic patient registration system, implementation of electronic protocols of treatment and evaluation of the efficiency of municipal health facilities medical staff. This will allow to effectively and quickly monitor the work of medical institutions.  It will also be possible to determine the workload of medical institutions, health professionals and to see how many patients have visited the institution, how many persons are being treated. Each patient will be able to receive the information about how much money is spent from the budget for his or her treatment, – the head of the health care department of the city executive committee Lyubov Mandzych said. Similar projects have already been launched in Kyiv and Lviv.

            Also, the new electronic system will allow to ensure availability and to improve the quality of medical care through the system of quick access of health-care institution staff to patient medical data, to ensure effective monitoring of the quality and scope of medical care.

            It is planned to provide health-care institutions with the equipment necessary for electronic registration and exchange of medical information. The cost of the program is more than UAH 3 million.
