Alen Panov about “advertising denial” at the executive committee meeting: “This is a provocation of the city government!”

"I would never have thought about putting a billboard near the cathedral! This is a provocation of the city government" – Uzhgorod diplomat, lawyer and social activist Alen Panov said in the comments to uzhgorod.in.

Today at the meeting of the Executive Committee, they again considered the draft decision "On outdoor advertising."

 At the executive committee, they approved the refusal to install two advertising designs. In particular, to refuse Alen Panov to install a board near the Holy Cross Cathedral.

So, the situation with the billboard, which supposedly could have been installed near the Cathedral, is rather interesting. Alen Panov categorically denies that he appealed to the City Council to grant him the permission for advertising. In the telephone conversation he commented to uzhgorod.in: "I don’t know what was the reason for the consideration of this issue at the executive committee. And we will turn to the police on that matter. By the way, I wonder based on which documents this item was included in the draft decision. This must be clarified. I did not write any applications. And what happened, I think, is a provocation!"
