A solo exhibition of the painter, a member of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Vasyl Vovchok opened in the "Uzhgorod" gallery. This year, April 29, he turns 55.
He was born in the village of Nyzhniy Bystry in Khust district. He graduated from art-graphic faculty of the Odessa State Pedagogical Institute named after K. Ushinsky in 1980.
For over twenty years, Vasyl Vovchok has been working in Uzhgorod Children’s Art School, where he teaches drawing, painting and composition for children of all ages.
The People’s Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Mykyta at the opening remarked that the artist was still a young man. But these are the best years. "There is a dynamics in the author’s works and life, I wish that it never subside." The head of the Department of Culture Yuriy Hleba, in turn, said that Vasyl Vovchok impressed him as a person, he is generous, active and responsible.
The exhibition will last for about two weeks and during this time, the heat, the sun and the beauty can be seen not only outside but also within the walls of the "Uzhgorod" gallery, on the paintings by Vovchok.
