Accountants can withstand more than computers

Today, on the Day of accountants, a meeting about the peculiarities of an accountant’s job and innovations in the Tax Code, which entered into force on July 1, 2012, was held in Uzhgorod Press Club.

Jaroslav Golubka, Chairman of the Transcarpathian branch of the Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Ukraine stressed that business leaders cannot take any decision without consulting with an accountant, as it may affect the financial position of the company in the future.

Yulia Kilaru, Chairman of the Transcarpathian office of the Auditors Union in Ukraine, authorized representative of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine noted that one of the main qualification features of an accountant in modern conditions is the ability to respond quickly to frequent changes in Ukrainian legislation.

Marta Voloshchuk, Chairman of the TV Taxpayers Association told us about hard work of an accountant: "Not every computer can cope with the pressure, which an accountant copes with. This is a person who knows and can do everything".

The head of relations with media and public of the State Tax Service in Transcarpathian region Eva Moyshevych told about some innovations in the Tax Code. "We would like the legislation to become stable. On the first of July some changes were brought to action, and on the fifth – Verkhovna Rada is adopting a new law. The single tax actually doesn’t give any tax reduction. According to Eva Moyshevich over the last six months, the number of single tax payers has increased by 10%, which makes 3,000 people, and therefore we can predict the increase in the rate of payers.

2012 has been decided to be an adaptating year, therefore administrative penalties for violations in the paperwork this year will not be applied. According to the planned targets of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian economy in 2015 will have reached international standards.
