The Transcarpathian stage of the Open All-Ukrainian Children’s Fencing League "Highlander-2019" has started in Uzhgorod. The competitions are taking place in the SC "Yunist"
On the first day, about 200 fencers from all over Ukraine were competing, in particular, Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipro, Kharkiv and other schools were represented.
On that day, the youngest category of female and male fencers (born in 2010 and younger), as well as boys (age categories: 2008-2009, 2006-2007 and younger, 2004-2005 and younger) were competing.
Rita Angarska from Kyiv won gold medal among the youngest, silver medal went to Valeria Polishchuk from Uzhgorod, Maria Bulaventseva from Zaporizhzhya and Emilia Kinchyk from Khmelnitsky shared bronze medals.
In the category of the youngest boys: Kostyantyn Bogachev won gold medal; Yevhen Korchuk won silver medal. Veniamin Vlasov and Denis Roman from Zaporizhzhya shared bronze medals.
Among fencers born in 2008-2009, the winner was Maxim Korchuk. Mark Tsyhyl from Lviv was second, Artem Melnyk (Khmelnytsky) and Kostyantyn Polyakov (Kyiv) won bronze medals.
Myron Durnevych from Uzhgorod won silver medal in the category of fencers born in 2006-2007 and younger.The winner in this category was Kostyantyn Molokanov (Kyiv). Zakhar Kalynka from Lviv and Danylo Lukashov (Kyiv) won bronze medals.
Tymofiy Kaltovsky (Kyiv) won gold medal among fencers born in 2004-2005 and younger. Volodymyr Kurgan from Khmelnytsky won the second place. Matviy Lomonosov (Kyiv) and Viktor Melnyk (Khmelnytsky) shared bronze medals.
Toworrow, March 19, girls will be competing (age categories: 2008-2009, 2006-2007 and younger, 2004-2005 and younger). The competition will begin at 10:00. Come to cheer.
