Employees of Transcarpathian customs office together with border guards prevented an attempted illegal export of tobacco products from Ukraine.
Thus, yesterday, November 6, 2016, a car "Nissan" with Hungarian registration arrived at the customs post "Vylok" of the Transcarpathian customs. The vehicle was driven by our compatriot. The Ukrainian chose the "green corridor" for customs control. During oral questioning, the citizen denied having any goods, including those subject to declaration, and said that he was not carrying any goods hidden from customs control.
Based on signs of presence of specially manufactured caches in the vehicle, customs officers decided to conduct an in-depth customs inspection of the vehicle. During which, they found in the gas cylinder 425 packs of cigarettes "ROTHMANS" with excise stamps of Ukraine hidden from customs control.
Thus, the citizen committed acts aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, ie using specially manufactured caches. These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
The report on violation of customs rules was drawn up, the vehicle and the cigarettes were seized.
