A Transcarpathian was sold into slavery in Russia

A young resident of Rakhiv district was fraudulently lured to Russia, where he was doing hard physical work for nothing.

Officers of the Anti-Trafficking Department of the MIA Office, during investigative and search operations in Rakhiv district, revealed the fact of human trafficking.

As it turned out, in February 2013, an unidentified person, a resident of Rakhiv district for his own enrichment, using deception and vulnerable situation of the victim, moved a 19-year resident of the village of Lazeshchyna in Rakhiv district across the Ukrainian border.

Then the boy was handed over to a citizen of Russia, who under threat of physical violence forced our countryman to do hard physical work that had not been agreed upon.

The circumstances of the criminal deal and the identities of the offenders are to be established by the investigation.
