A Transcarpathian killed his father because of a quarrel

Officers of the Dubove Police Department identified the suspect in inflicting severe injuries to a local residents, resulting in death.

Yesterday, November 20, around 14:45, a resident of the village of Dubove in Tyachiv district reported to the police about unlawful actions of her neighbor’s son. The woman reported that the 32-year-old man was threatening her with physical harassment for unknown reasons.

The police, that arrived at the specified address, found in the house the body of a man with signs of violent death. The victim was identified. It was a 51-year-old resident of Dubove. The policemen found on the face and body of the man bodily injuries that caused his death.

The victim’s son was suspected of inflicting bodily injuries. As the investigators found out, the 32-year-old man had come to his father’s house and started quarreling with him. During the conflict, he inflicted his father injuries, which caused his death. After that, the suspect started threatening his neighbor, and then came to his friends’ place, and tried to borrow money from them to go abroad.

The Dubove police responded promptly: the suspect was identified. Initial investigative activities are underway. The suspect is charged with an offense provided for in Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, intentional grave bodily harm that caused the death of the victim. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years. The investigation continues.
