A record exhibition will be held on the Pedestrian bridge in Uzhgorod

On Saturday, June 29, at 10.00, there will be the visiting meeting of the Uzhgorod press-club – on Teatralna Square, near the pedestrian bridge over the Uzh river in Uzhgorod there will be a press conference on the opening of the exhibition of photographs "Water glory of Transcarpathia" that will become the record of Ukraine as the longest environmental exhibition (144 m).This exhibition is dedicated to the beauty and environmental problems of lakes and rivers in Transcarpathia.

The press conference will be attended by:

Victor Pogorelov, the Mayor of Uzhgorod;

Yaroslav Slobodnik, coordinator of the Joint Danube expedition, Slovakia;

Oleksiy Yaroshevich, national expert of the International Committee on the Protection of the Danube, Kyiv

Andriy Bublyk, Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine, Kyiv

Volodymyr Chipak, the head of the Tisa river basin water resources management, the city of Uzhgorod.

Vasyl Manivchuk, the Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Organization of Ukrainian Environmental League.

The press conference will be concluded with the presentation of the diploma on the registration of the exhibition in the National Project "The Book of Records of Ukraine" to the Mayor of Uzhgorod.

            The photo exhibition is dedicated to the Day of the Danube, which is a common pan-European event, celebrated annually on June 29 in 14 countries of the river basin under the auspices of the International Commission for Protection of the Danube river.   The event is aimed at involving the public in preservation of the water resources of the Danube basin. The Day of the Danube has been celebrated in our region every year since 2007.
