Specialists of the branch "Center for Construction and Repair of Engineering Structures" of the UZ JSC have started a major reconstruction of the metal bridge.
According to the CFTS, by the end of 2020 a new railway bridge will have been built on the Korolevo-Solotvyno section near the village of Hrushevo.
Currently, passenger trains Kyiv-Solotvyno, Lviv-Solotvyno and freight trains carrying products of local industrial enterprises are running on this section.
"After the dismantling of the old bridge, which has served for decades, the builders began driving in reinforced concrete piles, which will support the construction of the new bridge," – the statement said.
In addition, the project also provides for the construction of a retaining wall at the foot of the support № 1. Builders plan to complete the installation of the bridge in December this year. And by the end of the year, a number of settlements in Transcarpathia will have railway connections with other regions of Ukraine.
