The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine granted Hungary permission to appoint a new ambassador to Kyiv. It will be the diplomat Istvan Ijgyarto, who was born in Beregovo in Transcarpathia.
According to the"Yevropeiska pravda", the current Hungarian ambassador to Ukraine Erno Keskeny was invited to the Foreign Ministry, where he received the agrement for the appointment of his successor in Kyiv. Now the ex-ambassador has already left Kyiv, and on November 8, Istvan Ijgyarto will come to Ukraine instead of him.
He was born in the city of Beregovo, Transcarpathian region, Ukraine in 1963, but soon he moved to Hungary with his family and began his diplomatic career there. In 2011-2014, he was the ambassador of Hungary in Russia. According to the publication, now Ijgyarto is intensively studying the Ukrainian language, which should help him in his work, since very few people among Hungarian diplomats speak Ukrainian.
