On Sunday, at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards of the Chop detachment prevented illegal crossing of the state border by a citizen of Moldova who tried to get to Slovakia without appropriate control procedure. The man tried to get to the checkpoint unnoticed, behind a truck. The response team detained offender and delivered him to the Department of Border Guard Service "Uzhgorod".
As it turned out, the detained citizen of Moldova intended to illegally enter the EU for employment purposes. After drawing up the appropriate procedural documents and imposing administrative penalty, the "traveler" was transferred to the detention center of the Chop border guard detachment.
