A modern – Carpathian – interpretation of the classic Intermezzo will be presented in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

A short film of an Uzhgorod author will be screened in the puppet theater in the regional center.

January 5, at 15.00, in the hall of the Puppet Theater, there will be the presentation of a short film scripted by a young Transcarpathian writer Vasyl Malyshko.

The film was created with the support of the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theater "Bavka" and amateur film studio "Edelweiss" at the regional organizational and methodical center of culture.

The film "Carpathian Intermezzo" is Vasyl Malyshko’s admission project for the directing department at FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague). The entrant himself was the director, the "Edelweiss" studio head Galina Chelyoski was the director of photography, the cast includes both professional theater actors, and friends and acquaintances of the crew members. The main roles were performed by Mykola Karpenko and Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalia Oryeshnikova.

"Carpathian Intermezzo" is a modern allusion to Kotsiubynskyi outstanding novel "Intermezzo" combining contemporary artistic interpretation, the author’s poetry and masterful theatrical acting.
