A man nearly killed his wife and daughter. The police decided not to detain him

Yesterday, around 22:30, a 30-year-old resident of Mizhhirya called the local police department, asking to save her life. Upon arrival at the scene, the police detained a 49-year-old drunken man who had previously twice hit his wife on the head with a hammer, and cut his 30-year-old daughter’s chest with a knife. The man confessed to the crime. The police decided not to detain him.
