A fundraiser has opened for the Transcarpathian, who cleans the Tisa from garbage

Transcarpathian Bela Franz lives in the village of Yasinya on the bank of the Chorna Tisa river and is currently trying to deal with garbage on that river on his own. Therefore, the organizers and volunteers of the PET Kupa campaign have started a fundraiser for him, as the man uses an old truck to solve the problem of waste pollution in the area of ​​the Tisa source.
Thanks to the cooperation, more than four hundred donations were made in the first five days of the fundraising, amounting to three million forints, which is twice the planned amount, – Zolt Tomasz, a representative of the PET Kupa campaign said.
According to him, the fundraising is not over yet, as he plans to buy a better van for Bela Franz, who sorts the collected waste and only then sends it for disposal.
Now he has a very old UAZ that needs to be constantly repaired, which makes his work much harder.
Zsolt Tomasz also said that until now they have been cleaning up the Hungarian part of the Tisa, and with this initiative they are trying to stop waste at the source of the river.
He also informed that this year PET Kupa is planned to be held three times.
