A drug dealer from Russia was detained while trying to enter Ukraine in Transcarpathia

Last night at the checkpoint "Tisa", border guards detained a 25-year-old Russian citizen wanted for criminal offenses.

The man tried to enter the territory of Ukraine when he was stopped by law enforcement officers.

During the check of the documents of a passenger of a minibus "Mercedes" arriving from Hungary, he was found in the Interpol database. Border guards informed representatives of the Interpol Bureau and the National Police about this fact.

At the request of the border guards, the Interpol Bureau confirmed that the foreigner was wanted to be arrested and further extradited to Russia for illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, production or processing of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. He has been wanted for more than two years.

Upon completion of the relevant procedural measures, the offender was handed over to officers of the National Police, the press service of the Chop Border Detachment reported.
