Border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment in conjunction with the customs officers found nearly 3,000 packs of contraband tobacco products, which a citizen of Hungary tried to illegally carry across the border, the press service of the Mukachevo border guard detachment informed.
The Hungarian arrived at the international checkpoint "Luzhanka" by a car "Opel Zafira". He was leaving Ukraine for Hungary. Having received information in advance, border guards conducted in-depth ispection of the car. As a result, border guards found 2,973 packs of tobacco products hidden in the luggage compartment of the vehicle.
The found tobacco products and the foreigner’s vehicle were seized according to the law. The seized car was estimated at almost 205,000 UAH.
