A charity art project to support children with cancer was launched in Uzhgorod

This week, a carved installation and a donation box appeared near the church of St. George in Uzhgorod. Thus, on the initiative of the Ivancho family, a charity art project in support of children with cancer was launched, the uzhgorod.net.ua reports. 

Today, in order to support the initiative of Maria and Mykhailo Ivancho, a charity performance of the Transcarpathian folk choir took place on Voloshin Street near the church.

The head of the Transcarpathian folk choir, Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk, said that she supported this project, because it has a noble purpose.

Mrs. Natalia told about the today’s event on her Facebook page. Several dozens of Uzhgorod residents came to see the perfomance of their favorite choir, and passersby would stop to listen to folk songs accompanied by ballet.The audience could leave money in a carved donation box.

The initiators of the charitable project – Maria and Mykhailo Ivancho – were watching the performance with tears in their eyes. They say that they did not believe in such a development of events and attention to their idea.

Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk emphasized that the choir would continue to participate in this project, and called on creative Transcarpathians to contribute to the good cause.
