A bribe-taker was detained in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

The forester who received a bribe was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. 
Prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office in Transcarpathian region, together with officers of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region and investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations in Lviv, caught an official of the state forestry agroindustrial enterprise when he was receiving illegal benefit for illegal sale of unaccounted oak wood.
The forester was detained while receiving the second part of the bribe – $ 600 for the sale of unregistered timber and its unimpeded export.
Prior to that, law enforcement officers documented him receiving $ 450 in undue benefit. The forester who received the bribe was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
Priority investigative measures are being taken. The detainee is charged with extortion and receipt of unlawful benefit (Part 3 of Art.368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Other offenders will be indicted after all necessary investigative measures have been taken. Further pre-trial investigation is underway. Press Service of the Prosecutor’s Office in Transcarpathian region
