A 41-year-old resident of Mukachevo was saved during a fight by a dog

Operatives of the Mukachevo Police Department tracked down the suspects in the beating of a man. The 41-year-old victim was saved by his dog.  

Mukachevo police department received from paramedics a report that they had delivered from Danylo Halytsky street to a local hospital an unconscious man with severe head injuries.  In a few days, operatives of the police department identified the persons involved in the beating of the victim. 

The police found out that there had been a verbal altercation between two groups of drunk man. A 32-year-old previously convicted resident of Mukachevo struck several blows to he victim. According to the witnesses, the dog was guarding the unconscious master and did not let continue the fight. 

The next day, detectives found the offenders. Investigator of Mukachevo Police Department opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art.121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – grievous bodily harm. The suspect may be punished by imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years. The investigation is ongoing.
