Law enforcement officers are determining the circumstances under which an underage Uzhgorod resident got behind the wheel of a car and drove over a minor child. The police opened a criminal proceeding over the accident with victims.
Yesterday, on July 30 in the evening, the police was reported about the accident with victims in Uzhgorod. The investigative team found out that a 16-year-old guy driving a car Crysler Voyager had run over a three-year-old girl who was walking with her mother. As a result of the accident, the child was seriously injured and was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Mukachevo Regional Children’s Hospital.
A criminal proceeding was opened over the incident under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, violation of traffic safety rules, which have serious consequences.
The car was taken to the impound lot of Uzhgorod police station. Law enforcement officers are determining the circumstances of the accident with victims.
