84 facts of electricity theft have been revealed in Transcarpathia

The "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC informs that for the period from 1 to 11 of March, 2016, the company’s employees revealed 84 facts of electricity theft.

In particular, they made 64 reports of violations by households and 20 reports of violations by legal entities (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.). Most cases of illegal interference in the power grid among households over the past week were found in Mukachevo and Khust districts (10 and 8 violations respectively). Most often, people would illegally consume electricity through interference with the work of meters, breaking seals and indicators of alternating magnetic and electric fields influence and damaging meters.

Among legal entities (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.), facts of thefts were discovered in 10 districts, most of them in the city of Mukachevo, the city of Uzhgorod and the city of Khust (3 cases each). The most common violation is interference in the metering device by its damaging (damaged meter housing, broken glass, etc.).

Also, during the last week, committees to review reports of violation accrued fines:

– Among households – for 162,100 UAH;

– Among legal entities – for 20,300 UAH.
