80-year-old Uzhgorod citizen became a victim of phone fraud

An 80-year-old resident of the regional center addressed the police department in Uzhgorod with a statement. The woman complained that some anonymous person called her and having identified himself as a policeman said that her son had been arrested. For assistance in the "release" the man asked to transfer 4200 UAH. The woman did it without hesitation. And only after transferring money did she decide to call her son. He wasn’t detained as it turned out. The pensioner has become another victim of telephone fraud – says Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
