One of the largest batch of drug pills was seized by officers of the State Border Guard Service, the Security Service of Ukraine and SFS this morning on the border with Romania during the joint special border operation "Frontier-2017".
The information about the possible transportation of dangerous goods across the border came from officers of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region. Therefore, when our compatriot arrived at the checkpoint "Dyakove" by a car "Peugeot" with Czech registration, border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment immediately took his vehicle for in-depth inspection.
During the inspection of the car, a dog trained to search for drugs gave a signal. During further examination, they found drug pills in amount of over 60,000 pieces.
The pills were hidden all over the car – the front door, the beam under the rear seat, and behind the partition between the luggage compartment, rear seat backrest, and so on.
Currently, the citizen has been detained, filtering measures are being taken and the circumstances of the offense are being established.
