The fire safety authority representatives checked 1774 recreation and rehabilitation institutions during March-May. This was announced by the State Technological Safety Inspection press service.
Despite a certain fire protection conditions’ improvement the general level of preparation for the summer season is of concern. 8500 (25%) of 34500 proposed to strengthen security implementation measures remain unfulfilled.
18% of buildings should be fully replaced by electrical equipments, more than 25% should be equipped with fire control system, 48% of objects that have such systems never used them, because 24% of buildings are not suitable for use.
1067 officials were brought to administrative responsibility for violation of the requirements and failure to comply with regulations. The operation of 634 buildings was temporarily suspended.
