According to the head of sanitation and beautification department of Uzhgorod city council Oleksandra Turyanchyk, 10 thousand hryvnias had been indeed allocated for the repair of Mikolajczyk’s "home".
"For this money we ordered a new iron fence. Two poles were damaged and they will have to be fully replaced. The old ones, which were knocked down by the car, can not be welded. And cast iron today is very expensive" – said Ms. Oleksandra.
November 13 at 4.50 am a resident of Uzhgorod driving Chevrolet Captiva drove at Teatralna Square by a pedestrian bridge, made a circle through Korzo, Voloshin streets, drove through the passage, tried to turn around – and crashed into railings, where Mikolajczyk was installed.
