Today, on May 16, during the meeting of the executive committee of Uzhgorod city council the results of the heating season 2011-2012 and preparations for the winter season 2012-2013 were discussed.
As the Director of Urban Development Department Alexei Kasperov has reported, the situation with payments for gas remains critical. Right now a serious work is being done, so the 2.55 million UAH public institutions’ debt at the end of the heating season has been reduced to 1.1 million UAH.
Zakarpatgaz has even filed against the City Council, but the court allowed to defer debt payments till November 1, 2012. The biggest debtors are regional management of SSU and UzhNU.
Members of the Executive Committee were reminded that in spring a competition among the companies, that wish to exploit new mini-boilers, was supposed to start. Alexei Kasperov confirmed that the competition will have been announced by June 1, while the member of the executive committee Margarita Moschak asked to approach the competition transparently, having announced and discussed all terms and conditions, so that the situation as the one at the beginning of the year, when the Public Utility Company "Uzh-energia" raised the tariffs for boilers servicing by 4 times, do not happen again.
